Humatica, the leading private equity specialist advisor for portfolio organizational effectiveness, is proud to have supported HVD Partners and the Solifos AG management with the successful carve-out and transformation of the company in the last 2.5 years to achieve the successful sale of the company to NBG GmbH announced today.

Solifos was carved out of Brugg Cables in 2018 and is based in Windisch, Switzerland. It is the leading supplier of high performance, specialty fiber optic cables for distributed sensing and mission-critical defense applications.

During HVD Partners’ 2.5 year tenure, Humatica helped Solifos execute a dramatic turn-around from steep losses to achieve stable profitability and growth. Humatica’s support was utilized at selected times during the carve-out and transformation to establish stand-alone, best-practice management governance and align the organization to implement the value growth strategy at pace. Humatica’s support was essential for realizing an over 9x return and IRR of 135% on capital employed.

Andros Payne, Managing Partner of Humatica, said:

“We are proud to support HVD Partners and Solifos’ management to accelerate the transformation of the company. The successful sale of Solifos confirms the power of Humatica’s structured services to activate organizations and deliver alpha.”

Jouni Heinonen, Managing Partner of HVD Partners, notes:

“Solifos has successfully executed an impressive turn-around in just over two years. We are thankful for the pragmatic support provided by Humatica to accelerate the implementation of structures and management processes from the carve-out through to the successful exit.”
